This collection of naive animal furniture is based on the naive animal art from the 18/19 th centuries. Agriculture was at the time the premier industry and livestock was a vital part of that business. Wealthy landowners and farmers would have their prized possessions painted as an act of self promotion.
You will see mega sized animals where all their best features like fat and muscle were emphasised and then petit landowners.
